It’s almost here, so pop these British travel ideas on your letter to Santa.
Emma Bridgewater mug, £22. Remember your favourite mini-break, with a cup of tea in a Landscapes of Dreams mug.
Smythson notebook, £55. I adore Smythson of Bond St – even the thought of their stationery makes my mouth water. This notebook is perfect for travel fans.
Fortnum and Mason Marc de Champagne truffles, £17.95. There’s nothing better than receiving a box of Champagne truffles.
The Great British Bucket List book, £12.99, National Trust. Get inspired and tick off where to go next. Note to self, I really must write one of these.
Corgi Christmas tree decoration, £12.95. Inspired by sister newsletter, The Royal List, I couldn’t resist including this from the Buckingham Palace shop.
Traditional Shetland sweater, £137. This year, I’m aiming to buy better. Jamieson’s is a family-run knitwear business based in Shetland, which has been going since the 1890s, using wool from local herds.
Thermos Revival flask, £30. Who remembers these Thermos designs (or still has one!) I love the vintage-look. Scottish scientist Sir James Dewar invented the vacuum flask in 1892 and Thermos was the first to make home-use flasks.
Cath Kidston backpack, £38. I can never resist Cath Kidston’s cute bags and the Royal Ditsy foldaway backpack is a traveller. It packs away into a little pouch.
Arran travel candle, £9. The Ultimate Fig candle is a travel-sized scent from Arran Sense of Scotland, based on the Isle of Arran.
Henley Gin, from £40. Henley Gin has all kinds of flavours, from classic to spiced damson, or a three-bottle gift set for £120. Or you could book a tour of the distillery in Henley-on-Thames.
Aspinal of London Brit travel bag, £556. Indulge in luggage dreams with this hand-crafted leather travel bag from Aspinal of London.
London skirt, £15.99. I’ve always loved vintage scenic skirts and I really hope Santa brings me this one from Eudolah, Amazon, perfect for London visits.
Thanks for a great 2022! I’m now taking a short break and looking forward to more travel tales in 2023. I will be back with a newsletter on January 9.
