It’s the film everyone is talking about – not just for its ‘special’ moments, but for the beautiful house. Saltburn, Emerald Fennell’s hit movie starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant, is set in the stunning estate Saltburn – aka Drayton House in Northamptonshire. For those who haven’t seen it, it follows the story of Oliver, who becomes enchanted with both Saltburn and its residents. While you can’t visit the private home, there are plenty of glorious estates and castles around the UK you can rent exclusively. Just don’t invite Oliver. Here’s my pick of six Saltburn-style grand houses to rent:
Tempest Park, Yorkshire
Tempest Park provides “a unique opportunity for an authentic experience of English high society living,” according to upmarket Elysian Estates, which rents out stately homes around the country. Tempest Park sits in 3,000 acres of estate and has been owned by the Tempest family for 900 years. With 17 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, it sleeps 32 people, has a spa, indoor pool and gym and includes butler service. From £21,000 for up to three nights, visit elysian-estates.co.uk
Castle India, Cornwall
Interiors fans will love this Georgian Manor-turned fantastical wonderland with indoor skate ramp and fairy tale bedrooms, all decorated with owners, the Gormley family’s House of Hackney prints. Once the home of gardening duo Isabel and Julian Bannerman, its grounds are called “the most romantic garden in Cornwall,” especially with its gated pool and pool house. It sleeps 18. Top Hat House, Wiltshire
It looks like a Queen Anne estate, but it’s actually a modern house, which means you get the grandeur without the creaky pipes and draughts. Top Hat House sleeps 16 in seven bedrooms, has a heated pool, tennis court, games room and woodland trail and is child and dog-friendly. From £2,900 for a weekend, visit kateandtoms.com

It overlooks the Solway Firth and has beautiful views of the beach and mountains. It sleeps 14, over seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. Prices from £4,300 for a short stay. Visit oliverstravels.com

Live it up in the Cotswolds, in this classic honeyed-stone house. The Manor at Windrush is a 700-year-old house which sleeps 10, over five bedrooms, with four bathrooms.
